Position Summary

The STNA provides direct care to residents in need of assistance or total care and activities of daily living. Through written and verbal communication, essential information is shared with health care team members. Completes duties as assigned by the RN or designated health care professional (HCP) in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, guidelines.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
