Medication Aide
Position Summary:
The Medication Aide will assist the licensed nurse (RN or LPN) in providing safe and ethical care to residents including administering prescribed medications and completing other delegated nursing tasks allowed by state law under certification.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language
- Successful completion of State Testing for Certified Medication Aides
- Must be in good standing with Ohio Nurse Aide Registry and Ohio Board of Nursing
- Must be in good health, neat and clean attire
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Must be able to relay information concerning a resident’s condition to supervising nurse
