About Us
The Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF) was incorporated in 1985 as a nongovernmental organization with public charity status. Since its founding, MCCF has awarded more than $8 million to local charities. The assets of MCCF are approximately $21 million. MCCF receives its funding from individuals and organizations who care about Muskingum County enough to establish charitable funds. Funds are usually named after the donor or the donor's family and can be established by a contribution of $5000 over a five-year period. The earnings from the fund will be given to charity in the name of the fund forever. Over 300 named funds have been established at MCCF since 1985. In 2018, MCCF distributed almost $1 million in grants to local charities and nonprofit organizations. The Foundation has four areas of focus, Arts and Culture, Education, Wellness and Recreation and Economic Vitality. These “Cornerstones” are the areas MCCF is hoping to use to collaborate with other partners to improve Muskingum County.
Housed at MCCF, the Scholarship Central College Access Program is designed to provide a comfortable place for students, parents, and residents to obtain information about colleges and universities, scholarships, and local financial aid opportunities.
