Mock Woodworking Co. was founded in 1954 by Wilbur Mock in Zanesville, Ohio. The company quickly became known as the local source of high quality cabinets, primarily for residential use. Scope of services included design and technical assistance and this differentiating factor remains an important element of our business today. In 1983, Doug Mock became involved in the business and the focus became architectural woodwork for commercial and residential customers. Store fixtures and health care furniture were added as areas of expertise and today the company focuses on these three areas. Facilities have grown from a one man shop in 1954 to 46,000 square feet of space and state-of-the-art technology.
Mock Woodworking is known for high quality products and services and these philosophies are ingrained in the company culture. Long-term relationships with customers, associates and suppliers are extremely important to the company. The average associate has been with Mock for 15 years. This stability helps to maintain our company culture and to deliver consistent, high-quality products and services. We are small enough to pay attention to project details, but substantial enough to produce large scale projects. Continuous improvement and being a good corporate citizen are also very important to us.
Mock Woodworking has been a long time member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute where Doug Mock was national president in 2001-2002. Certified as a Premium Grade manufacturer, Mock follows the Architectural Woodwork Quality Standards. The company is also a member of the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) and The American Subcontractors Association. On the local level, we are involved with the American Institute of Architects and The Builders Exchange.
