About Us
The Genesis HealthCare Foundation's mission is to promote charitable support for Genesis HealthCare System and share its mission to ''provide compassionate, quality health care.'' This is accomplished through gifts, grants, bequests and the generosity of the private donors, businesses and organizations within our community.
Contributions from the community exceeded $1.2 million in 2008. This charitable support comes from generous individuals interested in making a lasting difference on the quality of health care within our community.
The Foundation spent $2.3 million in 2008 to purchase new, safer IV pumps for the entire hospital system. Foundation funds were also used to purchase priority capital equipment for service lines such as cancer and cardiovascular services. In addition, the Foundation awarded $30,000 in scholarships to local students seeking degrees in the health care field.
