Admissions & Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

The Admissions Director/Marketing Liaison is responsible for business growth and development, along with ensuring a smooth admission transition for the patients entrusted to our care. The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the facility's Census, Marketing, and Admissions. You will screen all admission referrals for an appropriate placement, including medical/clinical needs and insurance/financial approvals while maintaining professional relationships with referral sources such as hospital case managers, social workers, and community agencies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of business development, referral relationship management along with experience in long term care admissions and marketing, case management and hospital discharge planning. The position reports to the Director of Nursing.
 

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language
  • Responsible to manage and direct the admissions process for the Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Manage and coordinate the inquiry, referral, and admission process as well as completing necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain updated bed availability, facility services information, compile and distribute admission paperwork and ensure all papers are properly filled out and inputted into systems.
  • Assists the team and Administrator in implementing marketing goals and strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners and outside community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance guidelines as it pertains to position.
 

Skills/Abilities

  • Proven successful census development track record
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, PointClickCare, CMS Site management
  • Minimum of 1-2 years administrative experience in skilled nursing facility(s) preferred
  • Detail and Deadline oriented
  • Flexible, able to travel
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to communicate accountability 
  • Excellent Follow Up Skills
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Must be suited by training or experience to be responsible for the external marketing and public relations function of a long-term health care system.
  • Must be capable of handling multiple priorities, attention to detail, and maintaining positive, productive, Interpersonal relationships with a variety of health care professionals.
