Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District's - "Living Local" workshop
The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 in the meeting room of the Rural Services Building, 225 Underwood Street in Zanesville. The purpose of the workshop is to highlight local agricultural producers and associated business owners in Muskingum County and help citizens understand the importance of purchasing products locally.
As a local business owner, you are invited to bring brochures, literature and/or examples of the products you produce and be available to answer questions from the public. The event is totally free and we will provide tables for your materials. The District feels this is an excellent opportunity for local producers to reach a section of the public that may be unaware of all the wonderful local products available to consumers. I will be giving a short presentation about the economic, social and environmental benefits of shopping locally, followed by a discussion of how consumers can connect with local producers.
We hope you will consider being involved in the unique workshop. Please return the enclosed registration form by April 1st at the latest if you are interested in attending. We encourage you to return the form as soon as possible so your business can be listed on the District website, in other promotional materials and the local media. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We hope to see you on April 10th!
