Dedication of new Straker Cabin at Scout Camp
Join hundreds of Boy Scouts as we dedicate the new Straker Cabin at the Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation. There will be a short dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting, followed by a tour. You may also stay for dinner with the Scouts in the Central Lodge.
The Straker Cabin was primarily funded by the Straker Foundation and will provide year-round camping for Cub Scouts. It will also serve as the center for S.T.E.M. related merit badges during summer camp. The building includes a large activity room and four sleeping rooms. It will be heated, has electric and is wired for internet service. S.T.E.M. merit badges to be taught in the building will include: Electricity, Engineering, Digital Technology, Robotics, Electronics, Movie Making and Photography.
