Gene Sprang, Columbus State Community College Gene and another Faculty member will be at ZZV for a presentation on Aviation Maintenance careers. They will explain the ways to become an A&P and the CSCC program. This will be an interactive presentation. You will be able to ask questions. They will also have some brochures with them. This will be highly informative, so make sure you put the date on your calendar. We will be serving lunch before the presentation. Students successfully completing the appropriate technical studies are qualified to take the exams for the FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate rating. Interested in Aviation? Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree You’ll work on the aircraft being used in the industry today to learn the skills needed to be an Aviation Maintenance Technician. Coursework includes electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, fire detection and protection, aerodynamics, structures, non-destructive testing, reciprocating and turbine engine theory, and practical experiences. Aviation Maintenance Airframe Certificate The Airframe Certificate program covers all the essential subject areas necessary for the successful completion of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mechanic certificate with an airframe rating.
