About Us

Your Chamber of Commerce is in businesses to serve businesses. We are an independent local private not-for-profit corporation. We are not a unit of government, not a charity, and not a branch of any state or national organization such as the US Chamber or the US Dept. of Commerce.

Our Chamber was organized in 1905 by local business owners and managers to promote economic growth and provide services to the community and its businesses.

Today our Chamber is unique and stronger than ever. Under the Chamber organization umbrella are the following entities- Convention and Visitors Bureau, Zanesville Downtown Association, Muskingum Growth Partnership, and the Muskingum County Emerging Leaders. Additionally, our team manages the local Safety Council for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation and is the host organization for the Muskingum Valley Human Resources Management Association.
